So much can happen in so little time!

I have not been posting for some time now. I would love to update you on everything at once....but I just wouldn't have enough space here.

I will however share with you the passing of my father. I am heartbroken and in deep grief over his passing even though i have only seen him once in the past 21 years. I don't know if I will ever get pass it. Because of ongoing fanicial shortages I have only revisited Poland once since we originally left the country. My father it seems has also chosen to keep his distance over these years, what I belive is due to his mental illness. I don't want to go into details wrt that.
I know I will blame myself for the luck of relationship even though I had little say in it.

I love him, but he passed away without hearing these words from me. My hope is that somewhere deep down he knew just how much I loved him.

Yummy, and Cute-Oh My!

Lately I have developed this fascination with cupcakes. I don’t really have a sweet tooth, in fact I have a salty tooth, but these cupcakes OMG. Have you seen the colors, and how pretty they look?!?! I can see myself actually making them and even eating one or two.
Wha’?
For one, I don’t bake! Yeah, I know how to bake, but I just don’t….that’s what I have my hubby for.
And two; decorating them wha’?? yeah, I am totally not into pretty, shabby anything…but have you really seen some of these? I have to say OMG again!

So I have been watching some youtube vids with my girls and I’m gonna do it!
Yup! I’m gonna go out to get all that is needed to make these pretty thangs, and we’re gonna do it! Just me and my girls.

I need to vent about Contact Lens wearers

Today I would like to talk a little bit about contact lens wearing.
I know, why in the world would a crafter want to talk about contacts, and what can I possibly know about them. Well, that’s what I do for living, I work in optical business.
More often than not contact lens wearers are an instant pain in my tushi.
And here is why:
They don’t replace them when they should
They expect to walk in and get some…because why shouldn’t they? They have been wearing them for 10 years.
They are always on the last pair, on a trip from another side of the world, and they can’t see, I must be able to do something!
And on and on and on!

And please don’t get me started on colored contact wearers.

Why is it that they (some or a lot of c/l wearers) have such a hard time understanding that here in Canada, Ontario there are strict rules that the dispensary has to follow, or they can lose their license.
Why is it so hard to understand that contact lenses are considered a medical device, but even that a side it’s chunk silicone that you put right on your eye!
If you are too lazy to clean them and replace them regularly don’t buy them! Wear glasses!

When optician tells you that this brand should be replaced every 2 weeks, he doesn’t mean replace them when they disintegrate in your eye, and then call me in a panic because again, you have no spex, you don’t have a valid RX, but your eyes have not changed in like 25 years blah blah blah, I have heard it all, and I’m pretty sure your cat didn’t eat that contact lens that just happen to fall out of your eye right as your cat was jumping on the sink in the bathroom

Yeah, I’m a bit annoyed by some of you c/l people, and yet you will still find me trying to explain all that with a pleasant look on my face day in and day out.

My Etsy finds

It has always been my intention to blog, but I just never know what to share. I tend to wonder why would anyone find any interest in what I have to say. So, does this mean that I’m insecure or am I just a realist that knows better….than again, am I writing *for* someone, or just because I want to?

Well, regardless of whom these words reach, I’m just gonna go ahead and type away, simply because I want to.

As you may know I hang out on etsy, where I also fancy my own shop, but I must say that I really dig that place. This place is full of good people, making, creating stuff that I would never come up with, nor have I even seen before.

I have a habit of just typing in almost random words into the search just to see what that word will bring up.

I say almost random because I pick words or f raises that relate to me, my day, my mood, it’s just all about me.

So today’s almost random word is Small Spring, because I just got home from my girls school spring concert and I love small things.

So without any farther a due I present to you:

Welcome to my world

Well, I think it's only fitting that I introduce you to my family, and this picture says it all!

Yes, this is my husband and one of my girls, while the second daughter is taking a picture of these two.

They did it when mommy was at work...makes me wonder what else goes on when I'm not there.

I kinda have a small dislike for army stuff, but my hubby LOVES his paintball! You can actually check out his site here. This is what he does for fun. Gosh, the look like geeks!

What do you love?

I just love making these camera straps! They are so much fun and most importantly practical. I guess that's what I love making...practical things, and that's exactly why you see such a plethora of things in my etsy shop.

I wonder if this is actually a good move on my part....having all these different things instead of having just one particular thing?
do buyers actually perceive the store differently because it's a mix, does that affect where I place myself in buyers mind?







Oh well, I guess this is where and how my store is going to be for now...mixture...a lil' bit of everyting, simply because I love it.
